Lack of Volatility

Well, for the most part, the markets have had a lack of volatility. Yen, bonds, copper, and so on can not seem to break their trading ranges or at least move with enough volume. Traders at major hedge funds and prop desks have been sent home for the foreseeable future. Yes, there have been a few markets making moves, but not many. OF COURSE, CNBC has to go nUtS about the DJIA making new all-time highs, I am sure it will fall tomorrow, since they have dubbed Wednesday, "New High" day.

This fits with my life at the moment, not much changing, not too much action. Not that I am having a bad time, just nothing dramatic is occuring. These lulls typicaly end with a bang, basically mean reversion of my life's volatility or excitement. I am just guessing at what it will be.

So, I have made a list of a few of the things (hopefully fun) I would like to do this fall/winter:
Ski out west (Whistler and Brekenridge) - did not do enough of this last year
Take Janna down to the Caribbean or Hawii
Continue to stay in good shape for tri's next year, but lift a few more weights
Look for a new house - hopefully the housing market will continue to bleed into the end of the winter
Maybe a new car?
